Always keep a bucket of water, sand, or a garden hose nearby. In case of a misfire or minor fire, you'll be prepared to extinguish it quickly.

Ignite fireworks strictly in open, clear areas outdoors. Keep a safe distance away from houses, dry leaves, vehicles, and flammable items.

Never allow young children to play with or ignite fireworks alone. Even sparklers burn very hot and must be used under close adult supervision.
